The hills were dead

A lot of early drizzle and no wind but migrant action on IVINGHOE BEACON and HILLS from 0730-0930 hours was NIL - it was DEAD. A total of about 45 Barn Swallows was seen, 8 Meadow Pipits, 2 Skylark, 2 Common Whitethroat, a male Blackcap, 2 Common Chiffchaffs, 2 Bullfinch and a flyover adult YELLOW-LEGGED GULL.........

First of all I see this Rabbit sprinting towards me...

....and the Town Farm campsite now that all of the campers have gone home

This adult Yellow-legged Gull flew over

....whilst this Carrion Crow found something of interest in the grass

Wilstone Reservoir was much as yesterday with the 5 juvenile BLACK-TAILED GODWITS and COMMON GREENSHANK remaining, 5 Common Snipe, 373 Lapwing, the 4 Hobby and 18 Little Egrets

A Red Fox was patrolling the reedbed in the SE corner

This baby Sinensis Cormorant was still being fed in the Drayton Bank nest
