Wilstone RUDDY SHELDUCKS relocate to Dunstable Sewage Farm

After leaving Wilstone Reservoir overnight on Sunday, our two birds relocated 12 miles to the east at Dunstable Sewage Works in Bedfordshire on Monday and Tuesday (3-4 August), where Andy Whitney was able to obtain these further excellent images of the pair.
Contrary to my earlier assumptions, this pair did not arrive from Uttoxeter in Staffordshire, as that pair returned to that site a couple of days later.
They appear to be 'new' birds and are clearly dispersing birds from the close continent, arriving on the very oppressive and warm conditions the south of Britain is currently experiencing.
