There has been a serious decline in Mute Swan numbers in the past week, with just 41 counted today, whilst Northern Pochards have increased recently to a peak of 84 birds

(A very grey, cloudy day, with a light easterly wind and relatively cool temperatures - just 8 degrees C at 1700 hours this evening)

Tufted Duck (102)
Northern Shoveler (81)
RUDDY DUCK (adult drake)
NORTHERN PINTAILS - 4 present
Lapwing - 403
COMMON SANDPIPER - 1 still (vocal at dusk)
