SPECIES RECORDED IN 2008

The Tring Reservoirs Recording Area encompasses all four reservoirs (Wilstone, Tringford, Startopsend and Marsworth), as well as all adjoining farmland, the Dry Canal and the Grand Union Canal, Tring town, Marsworth and Wilstone villages, Pitstone Quarry and Industrial Estate Pools, College Lake NR, Pitstone Hill and Downs Farm, Aldbury and all of the Ivinghoe Hills NR (incorporating Steps Hill, the Beacon and Inkombe Hole).

The Systematic List that follows highlights ALL of the bird species recorded within the Recording Area in 2008. Those that have bred are marked (b) . A total of 174 species have been recorded to 13 October 2008
